i bought my 2000 camaro brand new and it came with the 3 year warranty.. and i notice that my driver door had a crease when i looked at at first the paint was fine..now today i looked at it and the paint is starting to crack, the crack which is about half an inch long. will the warranty cover this cause of the paint is starting to crack? just curious if the dealership will give me a hard time about this..any suggentions..thanks

 

Two questions:
1. Is the crack the result of a door ding/scratch?
2. Will you be going back to the dealer you bought the car from?
Cosmetic damage is very subjective, the dealership may deny you if the answer to #1 is yes. If no, then go fight it out! That's definatly a defect.
If you're going back to the "house", then you shouldn't have too much trouble. Make sure you let your salesman know in advance.
