Post Warranty

I have an 00' SS M6... My third gear pops out when driving normal and is hard to powershift into. I have 12k miles on the car. I am the second owner the first traded it for a Vette... Will GM replace the clutch? I can not find out how to check warranty on the car. The car is well kept "If I didnt I think you go to hell for not keeping up such a machine." ... Does anyone know if thats covered under the 36k mile warranty?

Common wear items, such as clutch disks/pressure plates, brake pads, etc. are only covered for the first 10k miles of the car's warranty.

You may be able to find a dealership that will replace the clutch assembly under warranty since you're only 2k over the mark, but it's doubtful.

Also, LS1 clutches hate being powershifted. The OEM ones are POS's and most M6 owners opt for the ZO6 setup or an aftermarket company.

Good luck
