Wanting to replace cats.

Newbe here. I hope I picked the right place for this question. I usually just read and research this board because it has so much information. I am wanting to replace the cats. on my Z. Keeping the same stock pipe size. I have been reading and researching for a while now. I would like feedback from y'all.
The brand names Eastern, Carsound/Magnaflow, Random Tech, are familiar to me. I also saw a reference to FLP but could not find any info on it. Another one I saw on e-bay was Thunderbolt, all metal construction, could not find any info on it either. A couple of the guys at my local track had nothing good to say about the Magnaflow despite its high flow numbers compaired to stock. Random Tech is so expensive.
What are your sugestions, opinions.
Thanks!

Re: Wanting to replace cats.

I've had no probs w/my carsound cats. I've been running them almost 2 years on a daily driver and they were used when I got them.

IMO, its pointless unless you have headers though. One of the stock cats is on a bend. I haven't seen an aftermarket that'll fit.

if you don't have to worry about emissions you should just get an off-road y-pipe and some cut outs. If you like it loud i agree with greed don't think there are any that fit that pipe.
