Valve train work

I am getting ready to start work on my valve train and was wondering how most of you guys do it. Is it easier to pull the engine to change RR's, springs push rods and cam or can it be done with the engine in the car?

its really easy to do in the car. that is how i would do it. way less work. i can do a cam change in about 3-3.5hrs. springs take a little longer though
