Valve spring ?

If you don't plan on moving the rpm limiter up, is there any point or good reason in upgrading the stock valve springs ?

I have read that the stock springs are good to +/- 6,500 rpm and the rev limiter is set at 6,200 rpm.

I'm wondering because I got a line on some Manley springs and Titanium retainers installed for $700 ... is that a good deal??

The car, an 01 vert, is going in for turbo charging and ... I just need a little more input.

thx

if your valves aren't lifting any further, why would you???

cam swaps are a good time to get new springs.

That's the direction I was leaning towards myself.

And what about the price ... I'm in Canada and we always end up paying more ... but up here, it was $C 1,000 for the springs and titanium retainers installed ... and that was after I was being "jewish" ... about the bargain I was after ... still seems a bit steep to me ... but ... I think I'll defer that untill a camshaft goes in ..

thx for the input
