value depreciate after coler change?
If you mean whether the price will depreciate due to changing the color, I'd say the color has nothing to do with the price of the vehicle.
Usually. There are people who want to have exactly certain color and they are willing ton pay for it, too. But in general, no.
Sure, if the paintjob is bad, the value will go down, of course.

Unless it is a really bad paint job it would add to the value of the car because it has a new coat of paint.
IMHO, if i am shopping for a car, especially a late model, I would not even look at a car that has been repainted. I check for signs of a repaint, and a color change is glaring obvious, unless you strip the car and build it up. So in my book, yes, your car would be worth $0 to me after a repaint, unless it was done exceptionally well.

There's only one way I could think of that would make one Camaro worth more than another Camaro.
Let's says it's 25 years from now and you have an SOM Z28 and someone else has an Artic White Z28, both cars are identically equipped, same mileage, same condition, etc. You can bet that SOM Z28 will be worth a little more than the white one is because SOM is a rare Camaro color and it will be the most sought after because of that fact.

ok Look Blue book wise no painting does not lower the value... however the quality of the paint job might. so if you are planning to sell the car in the near future than no It should not affect the price. But since you not going to sell the car in the near future (and I am assuming your not otherwise you would not be spending your money on a paint job) then yes when the car becomes a classic a paint other than a original paint will lower the value of the car and even more so if you have changed the color. Plus you might run into someone like me that does not like the original car color to be changed.
If you get a high quality paint job done and sell the car on your own you shouldn't loose any money more than normal depreciation. However, if you trade it in and the car has repainted you could take a big hit. THe dealer will assume the car has been wrecked most likely, no matter how hard you argue that you just wanted a different color. If you paint is gone to crap and have to repaint it anyway, might as well get a color you like. But, it will cost a lot to get it done right. Maybe just get a car the color you want, that could be easier.
