v6 or formula?

Probably not the right place to ask this...but here I go

How do you tell the difference between a v6 trans am and a ls1?
I cant seem to find any "formula" badges on them...where is it located?

Look at the door just under the molding. It will say
Firebird = v6
Formula =v8
TransAm =v8
There are other differences but that is the easy way to tell.

Pop the hood......count the number of spark plug wires you see! Should add up to 8!

LOL! Sorry had to do it.....Formula Badges should be right on the side of the car. However, alot of people remove them for that Stealth look.

A Y87 V6 car will have dual exhaust but it will not have tips like the TA. It ill just have dual outlets with the slight downturns at the end.

I have a 98 Formula and it says firebird in between the taillights. The Y87 v6 firebird also has lower valances and the formula doesn't.
