Upgrades with my heads and cam install

I will be doing my heads and cam swap in november. I am also going to change the following items for insurance. Do these sound ok and are the prices good? 1. melling 10295 oil pump $89 scoggin dickey. 2. GM Perf parts HD timing chain $38 scoggin dickey, and 3. ls7 lifters gmpartsdirect $104. Im doing PRC 1.5 heads and 224/228 cam.

The lifters are only 99 at SDPC so why not get everything there. LS1 replacement lifters are the LS7s now.

Looks like the factory replacement LS1 (LS7) lifters went up to $121 and the Caddy racing lifters went down to $226.

Looks like the LS1 (LS7) lifters are still 104 at GM parts direct though. Get them before they could go up.

Just ordered it all. It was cheaper the get the lifters at sdparts instead of paying more shipping. The only other thing I should need will be my gaskets, pushrods, head bolts, and fluids. Anyone know a good place to get the gaskets and head bolts?

SDPC, hurry and call them back and see if you can get them added to your order.

Is that with the outrageous handling charge they add on?

If you're going to buy the heads and cam from Texas Speed, why not get everything from them? They do sell what you are looking for...

And my local dealer had the LS7 lifters (several sets) in stock a little over a year ago for $100.

Sounds about right. When I bought mine in March SDPC still had the best price on them.
