underdrive pulley and lightweight battery?

I just got an ASP pulley (not installed yet), and want to see if anybody on here has a UD pulley and running a lightweight battery. My car is an auto but would put it in neutral when stopped. I was thinking about getting a hawker genesis gp26 that is 10-12 lbs lighter. Thanks.

for the added hassles...and chances of getting stranded...WHY?

they are for track use for a reason.

stick with a regular battery.

I'm running a Odessy PC680 with 10% underdrive SFI balancer. It's a track only car but I haven't had to charge it or jump it at the track, yet.

And why? It weighs 14 lbs.

Battery is kinda pointless, but the ASP underdrive set is worth around 7rwhp.

If it is a street driven car, I would just stick with a standard battery.

Unless you're trying to go fast at the track then it all adds up.

thanks AL SS590 M6,I'll go with the lighter battery. I know I am not going to feel anything from the 15 lbs less but I bet I would feel the 100+ lbs I will have taken off total after this battery which is a good .10-.15sec. Also I want to get it closer to 50/50 and mount it in the rear. Maybe a k-member, headers, and a-arms in the future.

Can't put the little battery in the rear. Too much cable required to get back to the front will eat up all your power.
Little battery in front.
Or normal battery in the rear.

this is the battery I am going to get. Its about 12 Lbs lighter than the one I have now, Is it strong enough for it be mounted in the back or still too much voltage drop? thanks.

If I ever need a $160 battery for a car, then I know I am in too deep.

Wow.

You lose 12lbs. with the light battery and add 20lbs. of extra batery cables. What's the big push for moving the battery?

You can find the battery for like 130.00, I need a new battery anyways so whats another 50 bucks to lose 12lbs off the front.
