Exclamation ummmmmm HOLY ****!!!!

ok... so i was changing my oil this afternoon...

i take out the plug, and go to wipe it off with a paper towel while the oil is draining..

THERE WAS METAL SHAVINGS ON THE MAGNETIC TIP OF THE PLUG

yeah... metal shavings

ever so small and ever so few

all but one were "dust" size... and there was just enough to manipulate on the magnet...

but still. metal in my oil

someone please tell me this is normal

if your really worried about it then get a test done on the oil, but unless you start seeing chunks i wouldn't be worried.

hell, my old LT1 put a lot of metal in the oil, small tiny smaller than sand kind of metal, but the new owner is currently running a 150 shot and has for the past year without blowing anything up.

normal wear and tear.

Yeah, don't worry - some have found needle bearings on it.
