Ultra Z hood HELP PLEASE!

My car has been in the body shop since July because of a driver mishap (don’t ask), so I’ve been ordering loads of new parts and toys.
I bought an Ultra Z hood and had it installed, with the assumption it was functional, or I would at least be able to buy the kit that makes it functional separately. Well I called SLP and was told they only make the functional kit for the LT1, not the LS1.
What do I do? I don’t want a cosmetic hood, I want a functional hood.
What have you guys done to make this thing functional??

Chris

I believe the hood already has an opening. The hood is functional. But I dont know how to attach it to the Air Lid so that the air from the hood goes into the air lid, like Ram Air. Its the lid I'm trying to figure out.

This is what is available for the LT1. I'm looking for that type of air box to mate up to the hood for my LS1. Any other suggestions?

From SLP's website......

"For 4th generation Camaro owners looking to set their car apart from the rest, SLP offers the Ultra-Z hood for the 1998-2002 cars. Constructed of OE quality hand laid fiberglass, SLP's hood is as durable as it is functional. The hood is designed to work with your car's original air box and generates up to 15 additional horsepower from your LS1 engine and 10 additional horsepower from your 3800 V6 engine. The gelcoated hood is shipped to you (or your body shop) ready to prep, prime and paint. All necessary parts are included for easy bolt on installation. "
