Question Twin Turbo LS1

I am thinking of buying a 98 TA and putting a TT kit on it. With 315 Nitto's on the back, what am i looking at running in the 1/4?

there is a guy on ls1 that had a kit built from chargedair.com. he says that the kit is available and is a TT kit and retails for about $6200. i emailed the site about a week ago inquiring about this kit, but have received no reply yet.

Well first of all why do you want a twin turbo kit? Twin turbo kits are generally designed to give you the same boost as a big single turbo kit but with quicker spool up. But if 1/4 performace is your goal I would go with a LS1 motorsports single turbo kit. Its a proven turbo kit and they offer installation. Also spool up on V8s isnt as big of a problem because turbos are driven by exhaust gas and larger engines put of more exhaust gas. Also the advantage of having a single turbo kit is you can keep it below boost around town to save on gas but have the power when you lean on it.

Question

I would really like to know more about the CAS kit. Seems like there is much talk about new kits from CAS and Banks, but no one ever has details. Tony build high quality products at CAS. Their intercoolers for GN's are top notch, and perform flawlessly. I was very happy with mine. The customer service can be pretty slow, but the end result is usually worth it. Anyone know if this kit is actually for sale?!

Why would having 2 turbos stop you from lowering boost? still have the waste gate still have everything that the single does just some extra parts. [

This place has them for around $5,000. Not including labor.

You might also need tranny work, heavy duty rear end, sub frame connectors and some real sticky tires.

There is nothing a Twin Turbo system can do that a Single Turbo can't. Professional drag racers run single systems and they have their reasons. In my opinion it is not worth the $$$.

In most serious racing cases, it's because twins are outlawed, ie: NMRA.
