Post Turn signal trouble

Well last night I noticed that my left turn signal doesn't work at all (front or rear) and noticed that the front left bulb had burned out. I found the bulb but now I'm having trouble swapping it out with the old one as there's no easy access. so here's a stupid question. Maybe it's right in front of me (usually is) but do I have to remove the nose of the car to get at the signal lamps?

First of all, what year and what type of car?I take it you drive a TA from your username. If that's the right car then you can just raise your headlights and reach down to get to the turn signal. If you drive a Camaro then you take out 1 10mm bolt and remove the headlight. Then the turn signal is easily reachable.Good luck.
Kevin

PS
If it's a pre-'98 car then you take out a torx bolt and remove the blinker cover.

I'm not sure if it differs for earlier years and models, but on my 2000 camaro, the front turn signals are reached not by removing the headlights (that's the hard way), but by going under the front bumper. There, on either side of the car, is a small black plastic access panel held in place by two screws. Remove the screws and the panel opens up to give you access to the bulbs. gives you access to the area behind the front bumper/fascia.
