Question Turbo ?

Hey forum, my question is; if you were to install a turbo onto your LS1, would you need nitrous or not? I would like to acheive some where around 435+hp, without nitrous, sometime down the line. Could this be possible with a cam, pistons, and some more internal mods, btw I live in California.

435 rwhp is easily acheivable with just heads and a cam. As far as it being legal in Cali, don't count on it.

My Stage II heads/cam are 425rwhp/400rwtq. A properly set-up turbo will make that no problem. You wouldn't need nitrous but there are currently no "legal" turbo kits that I know of. The Incons were supposed to be, but the business folded.

Why are turbo kits illegal?

Movement of the stock location for catylitic convertors makes it illegal.
