Tune for Headers?

I have a buddy telling me to tune for the headers I just put on cause the car is still running poorly. I replaced the Spark Plugs and Did all the goodies but it still isn't running to what I believe is it's full potential, and ******* badly from a 38-40 WOT. Or well, into 2nd gear it sucks majorly. It feels like I could walk faster.

Now should I drop $140 on a tune now? I plan on doing Cam/Heads at the end of Summer or end of next winter depending on my money siduation. But I'd like the Car running good now.

you shouldn't need any tuning...

for "full potential" you should get one...but it should still run strong...stronger than manifolds...even without the tune.

the thing that headers alter i think is a bit of the A/F ratio...causing possible rich/lean conditions that can affect power.

i'd go through and make sure you bolted everything down good and all the connections are good.
