I have a flowmaster and love the way it sounds. I have heard the rumbler on this site and like it as well. I have seen/heard/and read about flowmaster and how bad people rag on it. Other aftermarket exhausts have alot of rasp-i-ness in the higher rpm range that i do not like. i like my flowmaster

The rumbler will sound a whole lot raspier if you add an SLP y-pipe, which I thought was an ORYP. The rumbler uses the cats as a muffler (sort of) so having no cats is not the best. The rumbler will add more horsepower than the flowmaster, but the flowmaster sounds great.

I have LTs and no cats with a Flowmaster and it sounds terrible. Its ungodly raspy and drony. I would get the TSP before the Flowmaster.

The SLP Y bolts on behind the stock cats...getting rid of the pancake pipe. Me personally I'd get the Magnaflow catback...those two catbacks I think only sound good on stock, non headered cars. That is all...

If your going headers, I would check the Hooker Catback. It is by far the cheapeast one out there and sounds great with headers. There is one video at the www.ls1sounds.com that has a great sound (under Hooker). It is the second one from the top.

And for your headers, Pacesetters are great but I have heard bad things about their Y-pipe.

If I were you I would go with Flowtech LTs and Y-pipe and the TSP Rumbler. Its a great setup and is really cheap.

The rumbler put down 14 HP to the wheels on the dyno of an LS1 with this Catback . And it sounds better then the flow's . My friends have flows and a few are already getting ready to order the Rumbler now that they have heard mine . It has No rasp at all ..Its just a deep sound . My Car picked up 1mph with the rumbler ni the quarter .
