I think only 01 ans 02 LS1's needed that. I know for a fact 98 and 99 do not. 00 is the only one I'm not 100% sure about.

What year is yours?

I just double checked. 98 and 99 do not need it. 00-02 do need it.

The part number is 8-62-1030.

Texas speed & performance sells them for $16. I would just order it with your lid from them. Definately a quality lid, goot fit and nice HP gains.

Good Luck

I got the SLP lid, has a breather hose for the 01-02 included. I just didn't want a K&N breather hanging in my engine bay, I think this one looks clean!

edg1957;

A smart thing to do, especially if you live in a smog restrictive state as I do (California). You would defenetly fail the visual with the breather filter coming off of the pump.
