From who?
Our y-pipe comes in 4 pieces for PLENTY of adjustment. If it doesn't fit right the first time, you can get under the car and readjust. It may take more time to set up, but it beats a one piece y-pipe that you can't adjust.

And yes, the y-pipe will bolt right up to the LM.

Re: TSP catted Y question

My y-pipe didn't even come close to fitting. I had to take it to an exhaust shop to have part of it expanded because one piece of pipe would not fit into the other.

Another buddy of mine had to take a section of his y-pipe into an exhaust shop to get it to fit over the collector of the pacesetter headers. Not sure if it was damaged during shipping, or just poor quality. Either way, from my experience, that y-pipe has been 0/2.

Not that either one of these y-pipes were the catted ones, but I am under the impression that cats would be interchangable between catted and non-catted systems.

Re: TSP catted Y question

Dan- I know the very first run of y-pipes we sent out fit VERY tight. We have since had them expanded just a hair to slip on a little easier. I wish you would have called. If the pipes were damaged, we could have filed a claim with UPS and sent you out a y-pipe that fit. We try to package them as best we can.

With any of our products, if you have any questions or concerns we encourage you to call!

Thanks!

Brian

Re: TSP catted Y question

I must have gotten one of the first batches of y-pipes. It wasn't a tight fit, i just plain didn't fit. It wasn't worth it to me to send the system back, i just got it modified to fit better. I noticed w/my buddy's y-pipe, you guys sent different exhaust clamps than the ones I got. The ones I was sent were the conventional U-shaped exhaust clamps and really effect ground clearance. The ones he got w/his y-pipe were different clamps and didn't effect ground clearance at all. Just wondering why the difference in the two orders?

Your Y-pipe should be fine. If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call!

Dan- We send out u-clamps with all the y-pipes. We have run out of the u-clamps a couple of times and I had to send the y-pipe with all band clamps just so the customer would not have to wait. That may have been what happened with your friend. The only system that we send out with all band clamps is the Rumbler X.

Well, you might want to think about sending the band clamps w/all your orders...they tuck up under the car much better than the U-clamps.

Re: TSP catted Y question

I'll be ordering my pacesetters and catted-Y in another month. My question is will it fit with my GMMG cat-back? And since I live in NY, what else would I need other than a Catted-Y to be legal?

Re: TSP catted Y question

You won't be legal with a catted y-pipe. Its against federal law to tamper w/the cats at all...including moving them. So by getting the y-pipe, which relocated the cats, your car will be "illegal".
