This is way cheaper, plus I dont really need to go as big as 408. what do u guys think?

pretty cheap, but a 408 setup is pretty nasty. I'd rather go all the way, instead of settling for something in between, even if it meant I'd have to save money for awhile. I could see getting the 6.0 only if you plan of doing a really good H/C package, the 408 is choice.

LS1 forged 408's > 6.0

It's only a little bit cheaper...Plus you get a forged crank on the 408...Go 408 with some TSP heads to match and a nice intake...They'll spec you out a cam to go in there, and you'll be happy...

For the price difference, I wouldn't even consider it.

Well I was going to ask how it would react to the F13 cam I already have, or would it be worth the extra cash for a different cam? I'm already spending way more than I can afford lol.

The F13 would be usable for the 408, but power will peak very early and you won't have as much peak power as you could with a different cam. Maybe you could get by with retarding the cam.

My buddy made 470/470 rwhp/rwtq with an F14 in a 383 with Dart 205cc heads with an insanely flat torque curve... i think it was something like 450rwtq @ 3000 rpm.

What heads are you using? Dart 225cc?

BTW, it's going to be an absolute must to purchase a FAST 90/90 setup for a stroker motor. Another $1000 hit.

The shortblock comes with a custom cam...Sell the F13, it's a tad bit tiny on a 408...The F13 is made for stock displacement cars
