Trans Am Intake

What could be done to get more air into a 2000 T/A with ram air. I see these SLP Lids, are they for ram air cars. Does anyone make a better filter for them. Thanks guys

you need a SSRA or FTRA. Check out ls1speed.com under the induction section. You will find them both, lids, KN filters, etc.

The lid you refer to fits all 98-02 V8 cars, regardless of options. It should be your first power improving mod. If you still want/need more air in, consider a ported throttle body next and then an LS6 intake manifold, which can be found on all LS6 Corvettes and CTS-Vs, and all 2001 and later LS1s.

The stock MAF and intake tubing (bellows) is fine for most stock displacement combinations.

Several companies make high flow filters, but a quality paper filter is not going to hurt power.
