TR Cheater-Cam, Stock Heads and LT headers

Anyone running TR Cheater-Cam with LS1 stock heads and long tube headers.

What numbers did you dyno?

I know it will work with stock manifolds too but would like to know effect of headers on #.

A local guy had just the cam, then heads, then added headers. After each modification it picked up considerable power.

I'll get the exact numbers for you.

I've seen them dyno around 380-400rwhp on stock heads.

Paul,

Will this cam in a bone stock LS1 work without tuning?

How much would I expect from tuning?

What HP/TQ numbers would this cam give, tuned or untuned?

Re: TR Cheater-Cam, Stock Heads and LT headers

I am running this cam in my daily driver 2000 WS6. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the cam. If you are looking for something that idles and drives nearly 100% like stock and still pick up very respectable gains, I would highly consider it. My car is still running stock tuning, other than a 7k rpm revlimiter. I would be curious to see what I pick up when I do get time to tune it. I don't expect it to pick up much power though as the A/F ratio is about where I need it.

Here is how the car dynoed:

Whisper lid, LS6 intake, TR ported TB, Hooker catback, stock manifolds/cats: 329rwhp/333rwtq
added CheaTR cam/ASP pulley: 364rwhp/359rwtq
added PRC Stage 2.5 5.3l heads: 406rwhp/390rwtq
added TR 1 3/4 headers/Mufflex 3" y-pipe: 430rwhp/410rwtq

This is all on a 134k mile stock bottom end which has seen better days!!

Jason
