Torque curve question...

http://www.fbody.com/members/assbreeze/dyno.jpg

(EDIT: You have to copy the address and paste it into your browser for it to show up.)

That's my dyno sheet. 317.8hp, 330.2lb. ft, M6 car, with a SLP lid, Jet-Hot longtubes, Jet-Hot catted Y-pipe, and a Borla catback (largest plate right before wide open.)

Question is, it looks like the torque falls off quickly to me. Is that normal, or might there be something wrong I should look into? I thought the peak numbers were a bit on the low side, but I figured that some cars were just more powerful than others so I wrote that off...but the way the torque just dives at 4,500RPM irks me.

Compared to mine it seems like your torque dorps off pretty quick, but I think ur ok, nothing to worry about. Here's my torque graph if you want to compare.

yah they graphed it retarded lol they used different settings for your tq/hp curves so it wont look right...if it were mapped out to match hp/tq it would flow much better and look like you had a great powerband which really it does...your car doesnt make peak hp till like 5600 and keeps making power through the point where they shutdown...dont worry about it whatsoever.

Yeah, someone on another board pointed that out to me.

I'm a moron, I didn't even remember that the HP and TQ are on two different scales. So yeah, you're right. It just looks worse than it is.

The real kicker is that since there's two different scales, the lines won't cross at 5,252. That really threw me off for a while, heh.

thats what first made me know it was graphed differently...just remember hp is a derivitive of tq so if one or the other looks good everything is more than likely fine
