Tires and Rims 18/17

Hey, I know there have been alot of posts about this. I tried searching but that one search per 90 sec is bull. My questions are these: I want to get 18in C5 wheels. Is it better to get 18s all around or stay like the vette with 17s in front and 18s in rear? Also, Tire Rack and DTD said that I souldn't use anything bigger than 245s in front and 275s in back. I kinda wanted 275s in front too. Also, one final thing: I'm looking at Falken FALKEN GR BETA FK-451 B tires, anybody have comments about these tires? Thanks

My car has 18's all the way around and I like it that way so I can rotate tires etc.

For what it's worth I run C5 wheels on my 2000 z28. 18 out back with 295/35/18's and 17's up front with 245/45/17's. Pics are at the link in my sig. 295/35/18's look great but are a bit to big.

Not sure if it's the tire itself or the size: my 275-40-17 in the front will be replaced with255-45 soon. The 275s are too wide IMO - on some roads I can't even smoke in my car because it need both hands on the steering wheel..... I put the stock rims/tires on the car and it was a lot better.... I think the 255-45s don't look that much different than the 275-40 - hopefully they feel better....
For the rear ? Cannot be too wide, correct ?

Did you rebadge your car from Z28 to SS? Why?

Well..........
I did it because I was mad that I got a z28 instead of an SS. I bought the z, drove it home and realized that I dorked myself. I shoulda bought an SS. I paid 28,000 for the z, and I looked online after the fact and sure enough, they had an SS at another dealership for like 1000 more than I had just paid. From that moment, I was on a mission to make mine into an SS. During its transformation, I tried to stick with the z28 badges, and I even bought the carbon fiber ones to hopefully jazz it up, but it didnt help. I just didnt like the z28 badges after a while. They seemed too long, and it just looked funny after I got all the mods that made it look exactly like an SS. I think I've pretty much succeeded, so I badged it with SS decals. I've parked next to real SS's and you really cant tell a difference.. If anything, my rims look better.

Lan01z, you're not the only one, lol

I rebadged it to an SS too. A lot of people think the SS is so much "better" than the Z28... but I put the stock Z28 badges back on, I thought I should keep the stock look.

page 2 shows my car when it looked like a z28 with z28 badges
page 1 has a close up for the wheels and the SS badge is revealed.
I am quite satisfied with the end result!
I have heard nothing but compliments about my car. Even when it had the dinky 16x8 rims on it.
