Question Tire Suggestions

I've got to get at least 2 new tires for the back of my Firehawk. What kind and what size should I get? I believe the stock tires were Firestone Firehawks, that's what it has right now anyways.

Check out the BFG g-Force T/A KDWS.

I just put a set on my car and they grip the road perfectly.

I think those tires are too hard...400 treadwear...I'd go with some SO3's or BFG KD's

I hated the F1's. They wore too quick and still had slippery traction. The Riken's I have now still suck in the rain. But at least they show no signs of wear after 3,000 miles. I just have to be careful when it rains.

What do you want. Long life or maximum stickiness?

It depends on your intentions....drag radials are for racing...nothing less...they have crappy treadwear, they only last 1500 miles. Just get a good set of street tires...have drag tires for the strip only...in a 16" size

For what it's worth, I'm about to get new tires all around. I'm getting Nitto 555R for the back and Kumho Ecstra (sp?) for the front.

As long as you do not use them in snow, I was extremely happy with my Bridgestone Potenza RE730's....

They last more than 1500 miles! I know someone who drove with his 315 Nitto DR's to Florida from Indiana and back and still have plenty of tread and they have a total of around 7500 miles on them!

I would say you can get a summer or 6000 miles in on them!
