Which tire to buy?

I need new tires, the tires i have now have decent tread but I want something that will hook better. Is there a tire i can use for everyday driving that will give me like 10k miles give or take a few that has good tread. Something between a drag radial and a street tire? Is there such a thing or should i just buy a set of drags and use them sparingly? Anyone who helps thanks in advance.

Get some Nitto DR's. They'll give anywhere from 10k-20k depending on how aggressive you drive. You can even do the Nitto Extremes. They hook pretty well, too.

The Firehawk is easily beat by any of the BFG G-Force tires.

BFG KDW tires are prob the best, however they are pricey. I run Kumho Ecsta MX tires. They slip when cold, but if they're heated they stick pretty good.

I've got BFG g-Forces KDWSs on my car right now. They have 16,000 miles and they're showing very little signs of wear with rotations every 3K. I paid $129/each for them back in March. They have a nice meaty tread and they handle great.

I made my first 3 passes at the local dragstrip last Wednesday and they did pretty well for a street tire. Off the line I spun a little, but I hooked up immediately and beat every car I ran, not bad seeing how I accidently drove right through the water my first time without doing a burnout.
