Question Thunder Racing Cam

So I have decided to go with the Thunder Racing cam 99-224/224-112. My question is who has used this cam on a stock motor and heads? How well did it perform? Will there be anything else I will have to do to the motor to run this cam?

1999 SS M6

Thanks for any input!

Its a BADASS cam! A buddy of mine has it in his 99 Trans Am. Sounds absolutely awesome with his longtubes and cutout! I'm definitely getting that cam. Everyone I've talked to who has had experience with it says that its the best all around cam out there. Most people dyno around 390+rwhp with longtube headers, air lid, TR224-112 cam and LS1 edit tuning.

what about driveability with an M6?

I have been debating with myself if my next mod should be the TR224/224-112 or good 'ol nitrous

How would this cam perform with a small shot of nitrous?
say... a 75 shot? thats really all I want to get into nitrous, just a little extra go if I need it when losing to a Cobra or import.

Gotta represent the f-bod

If you're looking for great driveability, definitely go with this cam. Losing to a Cobra or import? You'll be hanging with/beating Z06 vettes as long as you have lt headers, air lid, ASP pulley and LS1 edit tuning. I'm not sure how it would be with nitrous. Probably awesome with the right tuning.

Thanks.

I have heard/read about people running lots of nitrous on the HOT cam so I would think this should be no problem

the HOT cams specs are 218/227 .525/.525

where the TR cam is 224/224 .563/.563
