Post Throttle cable

Hey guys,
I was looking under the hood today(damn engine detailing!) and I saw that mythrottle cable appeared to be entirely to loose. Is it supposed to look that way on LS1s? How can I tighten that up? 2000 SS
Thanx

Are you getting WOT when you floor the pedal? That's all that matters. Just check to make sure that the throttle body arm is going all the way to the stop when you floor it. If so then you have no worries.

Sorry, I don't know how to adjust the cable. I don't think it is and you would have to buy a new cable but I'm not 100% sure.

You can adjust it on some models rather easily - on others, you can't really (and it can differ from A4 to M6). I know on the 2000 model A4 there is a small black cover along the throttle cable two feet back from the TB itself. The cover can be removed (pried off easily) and inside is a tension coil. You can adjust this to tighten the cable. When the cover goes back on, it holds the coil in place.

Don't tighten too much or else the TB you not close fully when you foot is off the gas. Some guys have tied knots in the cable to tighten it, but I don't recommend that.

Right,
I ve Got the M6 T56. I mean it still hauls *** when I put my foot down, but if the cable were tighter then I would get a better(quicker) response from the pedal input. I understand that it should not be too tight, I just want it taut when the throttle is off.
