I have a Professional Products 85mm Throttle body and a BBK intake.


One came with a gasket that that covers up that little whole where the IAC is.

One does not(it has an openning from the throttle body to the intake), this is the one I used.


I'm having idle problems, should I have used the one that blocked this whole?


I have a LS6 with NO emissions.

 

I can't imagine that blocking the IAC passage would help the idle, so there must be something else going on causing your bad idle. Did you change anything other than the intake?

Its a swap into a 1997 gmc so I'm just trying to work out the bugs...

Just thought of this, but I don't thing its the problem.
