Which throttle bodie

I have a 2000 SS camaro, that i put a SLP LS6 maniford on plus a SLP mas airflow sensor on. I was looking into putting a bigger throttle bodie on .BBK has 2 a 80 mm and 85 mm I don't know which one is best for my car.

Re: Which throttle bodie

if those are your only modifications, theres no reason to get a new throttle body. save some money and buy long tube headers.

The Mass Air Flow sensor was a waste of money ----- You don't need to upgrade that until you hit well over 450rwhp.

I agree -- The Longtube Headers will give you an additional 20-30rwhp/rwtq.

The MAF was a waste of money.

My recommendation? Sell the MAF, and use that money to buy a ported stock throttle body. It will make a few more HP, increase throttle response, and it won't cause idle concerns like the BBK is known for. Complete the induction system upgrades with a lid if you haven't already.

Re: Which throttle bodie

if he has the money for a new throttle body, maybe a lid isnt the best choice. maybe get a volant intake. i havent seen a lot of people running them, but the design looks really good. ill be buying one sometime soon

Stick with the stock MAFS, and port the stock TB. If your determined to run the SLP 85 mafs, you'll need to get it tuned for it, otherwise sell it.
