Those Of You That Have LT's and Loudmouth

For those of you that have Lt's with loudmouth. I was wanting to know if I were to put a Mangaflow 6" round muffler in the I pipe that comes with the loudmouth if that will get rid of the RASP that I get at 2,500rpms.

i don't have that peticular set up, but i've installed it and removed it. i don't believe there is room for a 6 inch muffler, a dynomax bullet barely fits.

I probably get the same thing your getting with my loudmouth but I have an off road y-pipe and stock manifolds. I've thought about replacing the resonator with a real muffler that doesn't resrict much more flow but still sounds mean. I found that Jegs has a few race type mufflers that might fit. The diameter of the resonator has to be between 4 and 5 inches so just look for something that will fit. Let me know if you find something that works and I might just try it cuz the rasp is getting to the point where I can not down shift or accelerate much on the street and thats no fun at all.

A Bullet 4" Diameter Muffler works great. I have an 18" bullet under my car and it looked like it was going to have clearence issues with the drive shaft.. Never had a problem though.

The best way is to just keep the stock catback and put a cutout on it. That way when you get LTs you can keep it quite when you want and loud when you want. Catbacks are a huge waste of money.

How does it sound with the bullet? I got hooker LT's with a ORY pipe and the LM is "arrest me now" loud! I just bought a bullet muffler from summit, 3" in and out, 18" too, can't wait to get it on. Did you notice a big difference?
