You guys are lucky

I live in California - specifically near San Francisco. I pay around $1.70 - $ 1.95 per gallon . Since traffic is so damn horrible here, I usually get around 12-15 miles to the gallon in the city and on long trips I can get up to about 25-27 miles per gallon ....I bet no one can beat paying that much per gallon. It sucks here....

I average 17 - 19 mpg overall on a tank of gas. Driving is in and around San Diego. That includes 15 to 30 minutes of bumper to bumper traffic just waiting to get into work in the morning.

Here in San Diego, I usually pay $1.79 for premium at Chevron. That price is the best I've seen for Chevron premium around here.
These prices are inflated. Once you travel outside of San Diego county the price of gas drops. The locals have been complaining about it for years.
