Question For those with TSP lids...w/n

Hey all,

I ordered one of these Monday, and should be getting it tomorrow. What I need to know is, if those lids come w/ an IAT fitting?

I am new to LS1's, so don't laugh at my question
I ordered the black lid, the $99 special

They don't have a pic on their site, so I thought I would ask. Hope I can get some responses!

Thanks!

Mine had the hole, but I reused the rubber fitting.

Do you like the fitment? I have heard a lot of good things about TSP

I heard their lids had a much better air flow, and were designed differently....

Why did you reuse the fitting, and not their hole?

Thanks!

my TSP lid fit perfectly did the "cigarette smoke" test, no leaks anywhere around the lid. it's a quality piece. however, i ordered the black one. i can't vouch for the clear or smoked lids.

also, camaro99_3 is right, they show up with the hole for the IAT sensor. just reuse the rubber grommet from the stock lid in the hole provided on the TSP lid. it will come with good instructions for reusing the rubber piece.

good luck

I ordered the black on as well That is everything I needed to know! Like I said, I have heard many good things about TS&P

Could you tell any SOTP gain? Could you hear it swirling? Was it any louder since the air silencer is gone?

Thanks

couldn't really hear any difference as i'm running an open cutout, can't hear much over the cutout exhaust

as far as gains, i couldn't feel any SOTP gains. i had it dynoed and the TSP lid AND the cutout gave me a 15 RWHP gain. don't know how much of that was the lid and how much was the cutout. if i was thinking, i would have capped the cutout and done a pull. doh!

Where is your cut out located?

Thanks for the info on the lid! I am assuming the lid gave you more...but who knows?!

Most likely right behind the passenger seat. If you take a peek over there, you'll see there is a space just like it was meant to be used for the cutout.

What are you talking about?

I used a Holley Powershot so I wouldn't have to have a seal

On mine, a 02, there is the IAT sensor... then there is another hose that connects to the LID. They say I need a K&N breather for that hose... was just wondering which P/N breather I should use. I can probably find out just by looking but I figured Id ask.

The K&N breather that we use is p.n. 62-1030. It will fit in the black A.I.R. hose that runs into the driver's-side of your stock air induction. As for where to order the lid, you can call us or order it online at www.texas-speed.com. Our web designer is working on our site, so if you have any problems just give us a call or e-mail me at trevor@texas-speed.com. We're getting ready to re-vamp our website so it will be much easier for everyone to place an online order.

FYI, we are the ONLY lid manufacturer that test-fits every induction lid prior to shipping them out to ensure proper fitment. They come with a one-year warranty, so if there are any issues at all we will replace the lid for you.
