Depends how you get it done. If you dump it before the axle, it shouldn't be much more than $400 + the cost of headers.

After the axle will be different. There's a kit out there right now that you can get, but it'll cost you $1200. I think it's an LG kit. Kooks is coming out with one soon, should be around $1000, that's a whole kit to (exit out the back)

I was wondering the same .... here around Orlando I couldn't find any exhaust/muffler shops that would do it, so I just got a used stock Y-pipe that I'm going to cut right after the catalyc converters and build my own dual setup with two bullets and dump it at the axle....

Hey, if it's too loud for me this whole setup is going to be on Ebay soon....

We rigged up a set of non-mandrel bent 3" true duals, with a H-pipe fabed into it, for my son's 99 Z28.We used a pair of cheap bullet mufflers dumped in front of the rear axle. Total cost including labor was $180. It sounds wonderful and he is running 11s with it so it must work ok.

I've got more cubes, more compression, and more cam so mine sounds alot meaner and and is louder. His still sounds great. I actually wish mine sounded more like his. His has a deeper tone to it and that may be the biggest difference. However, where ever I go everybody stops to look.
