Self explanatory...

The cable TB has a traditional throttle cable. The drive-by-wire eliminates the cable, and uses the PCM to control a motor on the side of the throttle body.

The Vette and GTO use a computer controlled TB.

The F-body uses a standard throttle cable to open/close the TB.

Not really sure what you're asking...

You can not use a drive-by-wire TB on an f-body.

^ yeap.. No can use on F-Body.,.. Unless you replace the entire PCM/ECM w/ an LS2/7 also..

No real difference. Other than the 90mm TB.. It also eliminates the IAC and TBS sensor and separate TCS/ASR system.. The single 'Drive By Wire' system combined w/ the ECM monitors all the TB activity and controls for TCS and controls IAC.. It's basically an all in one system..

On a side note.... I've recently driven an 06 GTO.. I liked it! VERY smooth! But my 00 Z28 seems to have more snap, feels more like a beast than the GTO. The GTO just felt a little heavy. Almost felt like the same power minus a couple ponies on the 06 (comparing to my Z, the feeling)..
