Simple question ... at what speed should a 2001 T/A WS6 M6 idle?

My Z28 A4 idled around 500 ... the T/A idles near 1,000 (sometimes a little lower)

M6 idles Just under 1000rpm on the inaccurate stock tachometer.

my 2001 M6 idles at 800, when i uncap the cutout only 600. ofcourse it's closer to 1000 when the engine is cold.
