(My bad for Q's just kinda new to the suspension mods)
even if with no autox/roadcourse...i would personally get at least a set of boxed or tubulars for peace of mind kind of thing.....but all in all...its really up to you...

you could also look into a new front sway bar...the suspension techniques 35 mm front bar is highly recommended by a lot of f-body boys.....but...do research if you're thinking about going with a new front sway bar....again...
...it's all about what the intended use for your car is...

Ok so i wont go wrong with either boxed or tubular for just daily driving and track use right?
And oh yeah......I am looking into getting a new front sway bar too.

You don't need springs. Besides, not everyone wants to lower their car...with my longtubes, I have crappy clearance as it is.

i didn't say he needs springs...but if you buy aftermarket shocks that are aimed towards a stiffer/more responsive ride, than having weaker springs is just gonna put more work on your shocks. i'm sure its not something that stands out when you drive the car if you just replaced the shocks....but i can almost guarantee the same shocks on a car with springs with a spring rate that better accomodates the shocks will make the shocks last longer, and the ride overall will improve. springs aren't only for lowering....shoot, even SLP's springs that were an option on the SS ('02 only i think) are better than the stock z28's and they hardly lower the car....at most its like a 3/4 inch in the rear and near nothing in the front. BUT, they'd better suit aftermarket shocks than the stock springs....

Perhaps you should E-mail Sam Strano (stranoparts.com) and ask him, he's very good regarding this stuff. Told me that the stock springs actually work extremely well with some shock setups (mainly the Koni front, Bilstein rear combo.) I was skeptical at first and actually had him clarify.

well....its difficult to doubt sam strano. but strano runs the prokit with his konis/bilsteins....so there is still better than just running stock springs....no matter what shocks you run...

but, as i said, i didn't say he NEEDED springs...its just better...in my opinion....

but of course...considering he never plans on seeing an autox/roadcourse...he probably doesn't need springs.

...ok.
