supercharged ss

I was at work yesterday and when i was checkin out the cars in the parkin lot i noticed this black ls1 ss. So I walk over and it still had temp plates on it BUTunder the ss badge it said supercharged! did gm ever make a ss supercharged from the factory or could this be a aftermarket supercharger and emblems? When the guy started the car up it sounded awesome. I gave him props on having an awesome f-body then we proceeded 2 talk bout our cars and other f-body's
