Hi Everyone,

I am going to replace my v6 with a v8 this summer and right now am searching for a quality engine. Depending on my budget, I will go with either the LS1 or LS2. I writing this to see if anyone has had any experience with the Summit Racing crate engines. I'm just looking for what your thoughts on the motor was, the quality, the price, etc.

some of the vendors here have good prices sometimes. are you looking to have a stock lt1/ls1? if you are looking to mod the hell out of the engine, id consider buying one from a salvage yard. not that i need one but i have been seeing complete ls1/ls6's and one or two lt4's for ~2500-3000. buy a rotating assembly and slap it in there with a better h/c package, sell the old heads for some change back.
