Stubborn Oil Filter
I tried changing my oil today and I couldnt get the damn Oil Filter off! Is there a cetian filter remover that is more specific to removing these filters? Or do I just happen to have a freak hard to remove filter? BTW this is the first oil change so its the filter that came with the car.

I know what I am about to say sounds a little radical, however it will work.
If your filter is that hard to get off, drill a small hole in the bottom lower side of the filter, and insert a srewdriver into it, and start tapping the head of the screwdriver with a hammer, this should loosen it, you could also try a large plumming wrench (not monkey), and clamp down on the lower end of the filter until it crushes, and then turn it off.
I have used both methods on my Astro van when the filter would not come off, both times with success.
