im looking at installing an electric cut out on my 2000 z28 ls1 stock does anyone know of any side effects to having cut outs ie... burned valves, sensors ect ect

 

Rear O2's an go bad, due to sucking in cold air. Its not guaranteed to happen, but its possible. I know a few people who have had issues with it, but its an easy fix. Just buy new O2's.

 

where are the rear o2 sensors located? maybe I can put the cut out after them..........

 

The cut out is after them. Its kinda impossible to put a cut out before them. Thats where the cat is. Its really not that big of a deal. I run around with my cut out open all the time and I havent had any problems. I threw a code a while back for my rear O2 on the drivers side, but I cleared it out and Ive had no problmes since.

 

exhaust grime build up on the undercarrage

and some people have mentioned increased deterioration of the metal due to the exhaust fumes....

oh and the added desire to romp on the gas to hear it roar!!:-)

 

Don't forget the added expense of hearing aids and/or ear plugs
