Stock timeslips for my mustang buddys to look at
I post on corral and no one believes me that stock ls1's run sometimes high 12's to mid 13's
if you could give some slips that would be great or if there is a site with slips on it that would work too.
Thanks,
jon

They don't need to believe you, go smoke them to make them see the truth.
Yes, they can be driven to high 12s in very favorable conditions with a good driver, but most people get 13s. That's pleny to smoke any stock Mustang.

But the '03 mustangs are blown and cost as much as a low end vette.... put the v9 vortech super on the ls-1 and it'll pull roughly 450 rearwheel hp. Screw the cobra!

I have a friend with a 2000 Z28 M6 that has a lid and 4.11 gears. On his stock street tires he ran a 13.00@109 last Friday.

All LS1's are capable of hitting 12's stock. The power is there since most trap in the 103-107 range in stock trim so the only problem is traction and the ability to get it with stock street tires. With a 60ft time in the 1.7-1.8 range Stock LS1's running 13.0-13.3's off 2.0- 2.2 60ft's would all drop into the 12's. Drag racing with street tires is like playing ice hockey with soccer shoes, you can do it but you won't be very good at it.

Some mustangers are still in denial about the ls1's though, its just their pride is too large and dont want to be hurt.

I'll look for my time slips and dyno run when I get home. I don't rember where I put them.
I ran a 13.1 w/ 2.04 60' time. This was the first and only time I took it to the track so far.. I'd imagine a better driver could do better.
Dyno at 303rwhp and 304rwtq if I rember correctly.
Only mod is an air lid.

Umm, last I checked the cobra sticker said $34,700, the stripped vetter is in the realms of low 40's. The Cobra also puts out near 450rwhp if you take off all the restrictions Ford put on it in order for it to be a retailable car. And the ls1's bottom end still wont hold up. But this is way off topic.

I want to see an 03 Cobra going for 34,000. You need to come to my city and tell that to the dealers here. Most 03 Cobra's I have seen here are stickered at 49,000
Cheapest I have seen is 44,000
