stock LS1 worth dyno tuning?

Anymore power to be had from the stock tuning? Car has 59k miles. Only thing car will have before the tune is new plugs/wires and a lid.

Yes there is definitely power to made from tuning a stock LS1, but it would be a wiser decision to get a mail order tune for a lot cheaper. You'll get probably 90% of a dyno tune's power and it will be half the price if not cheaper. I'd say go for a dyno tune if you go with heads or cam in the future...

Unless you are getting a very nice deal from someone to have it dynotuned, I would not do it. I agree with the above, a mail order tune would be alot cheaper and yield very good results still.

We generally see about 15-20RWHP when we tune LS1 engines for supreme unleaded fuel. That, combined with other optimizations (torque management delete, etc) can yield impressive performance improvements.

We've been running a special on LS1 programming (ends on 06/15/07), you can get mail order programming with our service for $199.99.
