What are the Stock head casting numbers I have seen people saying that they have heads with 2xx but I checked mine out and it is 843. Don't know if there are differnt castings for the heads over the years or what?

 

856?? I think are 98
843s are 99-00
241s are late 00-02

 

243 are ls6?

 

Is that jsut camaro/TA's or is that for the C5's as well?

 

Well for C5 you have to add 97 which was the same as 98.

 

241 LS1s started in 2001.
243s are LS6 heads.

The 8xx are the old style LS1 heads.

Except that my 2000 had 241s when I got it. That's why I said some late 00s had them. If you're going to try to contradict me pick something that I'm not absolutely positive of. I still have the heads out in the shed.

 

which ones flow best? or better yet, if i were to take a set to get P&P'd what should i go with?
