could someone with a ls1 98-02 car please give me the measurements of the stock air lid itself.mainly the outer lip measurement. and how deep it is at deepest point.

how wide,long and tall it is?please help as i am trying to mod one to fit another car and need these measurements before i purchase a lid.

 

This type lid? I ask cause I haven't seen those on a Camaro SS and wasn't sure if they're different or not (then again I bet they're the exact same).

Outside width measurement is 16 1/2"

The outside depth is 8 1/2" excluding the tabs/inserts. With the tabs it is 8 7/8"

Height looks to be about 2 1/2" and that's specifically the lid height...not including the oval outlet/coupler.

Like I said, I measured the lid only as you asked which excludes the baffle/resonator/whatever-it-is shown as well as excluding the oval coupler.

 

thats perfect the dimensions i needed, i have to see if i can make it work with a ram air hood i have for another car.
