stock 2001 TA horsepower/tq ratings

What are the 2001 LS1's (M6) rated at by the factory horsepower and torque? Also what would a typical m6 dyno with a new SLP lid and filter, Bauer Ported TB, and Maganflow exhaust. The last two mentioned are being installed on my car next week! Just curious..........

According to a 2001 Firebird brochure I have:

310 hp (325 w/Ram Air) @ 5,200rpm

340 lbs tq (350 w/RamAir) @ 4,000rpm

Not sure about "real" dyno numbers though.

The car is "rated" at 310/340 as previously mentioned, but those numbers are sandbagged. A more realistic figure is about 345-350hp stock.

I'd say you could expect anywhere from 300-320 hp to the wheels (not the crank) with those modifications, as no two cars dyno equally.

2001 M6 LS1 should be around 305 RWHP to start with. Add 7 RWHP for magnaflow, 8-10 RWHP for the lid and maybe another 5 RWHP for the throttle body.

That makes my guess about 325 RWHP. Of course your numbers may vary as no two are the same but I'm betting you'll be close to that.

I would say more towards 320rwhp. The average stock LS1 dynos 300rwhp.

Like I said, no car dynos equally, especially under varying conditions.

I saw a M6 LS1 with lid, longtubes, Y-pipe, and a catback dyno 319 to the wheels. Seems lower than normal, but going back to what I said...

My 2k1 Formula put down 307/331 w/ a Direct Flow, Holley Powershot, and Flowmaster. It was M6, and the conditions were cold and dry...don't know exact conditions. I had a bit of retard above 4000 due to some hot plugs, at least that's what the tech said. I was on my way to about 320/345 using the curve as it was, until the retard kicked in.
