Angry Starting problem when I refuel

About half of the time I refuel, my car doesn't seem to get any fuel to the engine at all until it cranks for about 5-7 seconds and then it doesn't idle right for a couple seconds. After all that it runs like a champ until the next time that it does it after refueling. It doesn't do it all the time, though, and when it does it's only after refueling. Does anyone know what this is and why it does it only on occasion at a certain time?
Thanks

Are you running the tank really low? Maybe a pump issue. Carry a gauge with you and the next time you fill up, check the psi.....should be right around 58. You might want to check/replace the filter as well.

I usually have at least a quarter tank when I refuel. What guage are you talking about and how do I use it?

think Z28luvr is talking about a fuel pressure gauge, here's a quick link to one at sears but it's kind of pricy probably can get one for less than half of price they ask

http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/produ...seBVCookie=Yes

Also, like said above, changing the fuel filter is a quick & inexpensive which is routine maintaince anyway so I'd start with that

I am talking about a fuel pressure gauge. You can get one for about $35 at Advance or Autozone. Screws into the schraeder valve at the end(front)of the fuel rail. Just make sure to bleed off the pressure before you unscrew it!
