SSRA and water

Was wondering for anyone that has the SSRA or similar intakes. Do any of you have problems with water getting through your filter or even makeing it up into your filter. I was wondering also if anyone has ever made one of these intakes on their own and if you have do you have dimensions for it?

2yrs of driving with it in south florida....never had a problem.

i've been on the highway in near blinding hurricane rain...pulled under an overhang and pulled the lid...no water in the airbox or visible in the lid.

full speed through a 6" deep puddle and you may get some, but it is not going to suck it up like a snorkel. the scoop isn't totally sealed...so it can't form suction.

could it happen...sure. i could win the lottery too.
will it happen in everyday smart driving...no

If you gotta go through deep water just invert it and have a snorkle.
