I apologize because I know this has been posted before, but I'll be damned if I could find it. I own a 2001 SS, and I am trying to remember if I heard that in 2001 SLP did not actually make any mods to the majority of SS's ordered--they were actually modded with SLP parts in house by Chevy. Just curious, as it's driving me nuts looking for an answer.

The cars were taken from the plant they were built in and trucked to SLP a few miles away. SLP changed the hood, spoiler, wheels etc. Then they were trucked back to the plant, inspected by GM and then sent to dealers.
