squealing brakes

I have had squealing brakes for about a month now. It's only at like 1/4 the way down, any more or less it doesn't squeal. Is it the brake pads or something else. What do I need to buy to fix the problem.

Sometimes a squeal with light pedal pressure is the brake pad thickness warning tabs letting you know to change your pads.

You others with new pads squealing go to your parts store and ask for a can of stuff to coat the back of your brake pads to stop the squealing. Then take the pads off and apply as instructed. Should help.
I can't think of any brand names right now but I know that you can get this stuff.
