Alright, thats what I thought you were talking about, but Ive never heard if refered to as a gator belt. Ive already had that replaced before, and the problem has come back.

wHAT IF You get a set of aftermarket pulley's that claim more hp, would that help you out by getting rid of the squeak and making more poweR?

I dont think that would help, from what Ive found this is what needs to be done. Probably just the second one though.

Try these:

99-06-01-007 Accessory Drive Squeak (Replace Idler Pulley)

00-06-01-008 Accessory Drive Belt Squeak/Chirp Noise (Install Double Row Idler Pulley, Generator Bracket, and Belt)

So I dont think aftermarket pullys would help.

Pull the dust shield off of your idler pulley. I bet you your squeak goes away.

The idler pulley is the little pulley between the Power Steering Pump and the Water Pump. It is just to the side of the Power Steering Pump. You can go to install university and they will give you the procedure. If I had time right now I would find it and send it to you. All together pulling your dust shield off your Idler Pulley is about a 15 minute job. You just need a ratchet and 15mm socket.
